41CX Battery Corrosion - bohaiboy - 03-28-2018 06:44 PM I rediscovered my old rechargeable 41CX yeah, but the rechargeable battery and the contacts are severely corroded (boo). Any suggestions on how or where to get it repaired? I live in houston and realize most likely will have to ship but need a reputable place. And another yeah, I just found an old 41 CV that appeears in great shappe, Need to order batteries so we will see if the $4.50 fix works on this one. Thanks in advance and great forum, just joined. Tim in Houston RE: 41CX Battery Corrosion - damaltor - 03-29-2018 08:46 AM Great that you fond your old devices! The rechargeable battery can be rebuild with new cells, which is not THAT hard - i did it here, for example: http://malte.deringenieur.net/wiederbelebung-eines-hp-41c-akkupacks-82120a/ If the foil contacts inside the calculator are corroded too, there are replaceable foils for that here: http://www.clonix41.org/Maintenance/IO_Block/Flex_replacement_guide_v2.pdf Alternatively the contacts can be fixed to a working state with a bit of wire.
