HP calculator prices
I've done a non-scientific survey of prices for HP calculators that are either currently being sold or were recently for sale by HP. These are all models produced in China for HP, and pricing is for new units in their original unopened packaging. The MSRP is based on the US HP online store pricing as shown currently or the last known pricing before they were removed from the listing of products. The current [/code]pricing is the lowest street price I could find and includes domestic shipping where applicable, but not any sales taxes. The list is mostly for HP calculator models that I own. I present this information w/o any political, social or personal financial agenda.

Model______MSRP_____Current

Prime _____$150.00___$120.00
50g_______$130.00___$80.00
15C LE____$100.00___$338.00
35s_______$60.00____$43.00
30b_______$50.00____$25.00
33s_______$40.00____$180.00
20b_______$40.00____75.00
10bII+____$30.00____$29.00

Hard to believe that the above two models catch that much;-)

Thing is they are actually selling for those prices and even more. The 33s sold on eBay at that price ($180) just two days ago, and I previously saw another sell for $100 more. The 20b has also sold for twice its original MSRP. No doubt when the NOS blister-packed 30b stock dries up, their prices will increase as well.

Either it's existing old stock or HP is only selling them in certain markets. It would be interesting to see the date codes on those 20b calcs being sold in Germany.

To find that out, I would have to buy one... But I already have two of them and they are not really my favorite calculators (the HP-20b looks pretty, but the keyboard is not one of the best) I will miss this opportunity.

RE: HP calculator prices
For your interest, I've done the same exercise here in the UK where only four of the calculators you listed now appear to be available. The ones not now listed by HP are available on auction sites but the sellers tend to ask silly money for them. All prices are in GBP including VAT.

The price disparity is a bit depressing, but it's interesting that HP calculators still represent excellent value for money compared to the competition. Someone interested in the 50g might also be considering the Casio FX-9860GII - a manifestly inferior calculator, yet the latter costs more.
