Looking for older 12C manual
Does anybody have a scan of the 12C manual that came with the 3 battery models?

I have the later (2004/2005) 12C manual but I can't find my original. I want to compare and see if they changed the doc for the ARM models or for any other reasons. It is not on the Museum DVD. Surprisingly there is virtually nothing for the 12C there.

Thanks.

RE: Looking for older 12C manual
I have one in front of me, from 11/94. What would you like me to look up? Actually, I could just ship it to you, and perhaps you could scan it for the museum.

Thanks very much, that would be perfect but alas I don't have a scanner. I was hoping somebody might have scanned a copy already. I don't know whether they were ever available as PDFs from HP, but I doubt it.

The HP-12C is still in production, and thus not suitable for inclusion in the Museum DVD. At least HP believes so, if you know what I mean.

I didn't think of that! Wink

Thanks, Bob!

Anyway, this was not a criticism of the DVD. Lots of good stuff on there. I would like to get a scan of the original doc though if anybody has one or can make one.

RE: Looking for older 12C manual
I have a spiral bound manual dated 2/82 that will scan nicely.

Awesome. That sounds like what I remember, although I bought my 12C later than that. Maybe mid '90s. But definitely before the doc I have now.

I also have a perfect bound copy of the manual I'd be willing to part with or there are scans of the 12C manuals on TAS for $5.

RE: Looking for older 12C manual
Thank you for your generous offer. I do have the real manual somewhere in storage but just can not get to it and don't know when I will be able to. I do like real manuals but in this particular case I'd be happy with a scan when you get a round tuit Smile

Interesting link to TAS. Selling scans of old manuals as a business. Now I've seen everything! That's one way to make sure you never run out...

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cringe at the pseudo-legalese fine print at the bottom of that auction listing. The seller is ostensibly NOT selling a pdf of copyrighted material, but is offering a SERVICE to provide ACCESS to a pdf of something that the buyer already owns in hardcopy.

That's okay. I got one of these at lunchtime.

I'll provide the link to the pdf in a few hours.

I believe this will turn out to be a popular link, possibly setting download records... Thanks Dave

Nice! Much smaller, but the previous version was also OCR'd. I only have Acrobat 9; what did you use?
