If they do make a pilot run I hope they don't decide to change the keyboard layout later on like they did on the WP34s project in software V3.0.

What was wrong with the v2 to v3 change in the 34S? The v2 calculators still worked just fine, were just as (if not more) stable and faster. Both versions were free. If the developers had charged for their efforts, it might have been different.

Oh the V2.x and V3.x were both spectacular versions and I love mine. I just wished the overlay I had originally installed would have carried me through to the latest version. Maybe I am alone in that. I am certainly not trying to complain. More of a wish.

I'm going to blame Marcus for the need to change the keyboard layout Smile
He added so much new and unexpected functionality, it needed to change to accommodate everything.

WOW, I am SOOOooo glad I didn't stumble onto this incredible effort by so many people until 2019.

Is was so worth it to have to deal with an HP-12c just to have an RPN calc since the 33 just was a work, the 35s can't even put "paper weight" on it's CV, and my 34c succumbed in the late 80's to the superior structural integrity of a Volkswagon Beatle passenger seat ramming it against the floorboard. (I'm sure no beer was involved)

And Eric having to take the time to make and mail me an overlay for 6USD. And Harald designing a USB board and Werner ordering and soldering and mailing them.

Having to pull an old overlay off and replacing it would be horrible...

Leo

(Thanks All for such great work!)

I believe I'm interested, but...

Would someone please direct me to a description/document of precisely what a WP43s is/projected to be?

Thank you,
TomC

RE: INFO: WP 43S Pilot Run (Poll)
With the beta hardware, it looks like we might have a physical version of this beast present at HHC2020 in Nashville in the Fall. That should be great.
Thanks,
Jake
