New to posting on the forum. --- edit 6+
Trying new thread with picture (modest size).

Picture doesn't show in the preview, there is small box hardly visible where the cursor changes to a hand.
Try if png type is OK.

Edit-----------
Use of this post has changed: now trying to add pictures from attachments (in my other post/in general?)
Success thanks to Dave Frederickson:

Zoom-able Images

Took some time to understand

Seems ok to me.
yes I see them. But be aware that you may reuse the pictures, as we have a quota of 6MB and after that one may delete old pictures, killing old but still useful threads.

It's hardly reasonable or in the interest of the forum to invalidate old threads. If the quota is exceeded, you should ask the admin to increase it. Quotas exist for maintenance purposes and security reasons, not to hinder the users contributing to the forum.

Greetings,

Matthias
Thanks for the advice.
I already try to avoid too much detail in pictures.

That sounded easy and I failed to discover a way to reuse them...
Unless perhaps in "manage your attachments" by using the reference displayed at screen bottom when hovering over the name of the pic.

Sorrry to have deleted pictures in the first post.
Trying to insert the new refs...

a possible alternative is to use imgur as image hosting. It is hosting images for free since years (it is quite bound to reddit, so if reddit is alive, so is imgur) and it seems quite reliable.

You can use direct link here, when imgur has "enough" maps the direct links to normal links so the pictures don't get lost as well.
Well, well, this test thread is far more popular then the thread with the
real contents.
How come?

more replies here, older thread here, etc.. Give things their time, especially in a small community.
