Hi,
Which language are you using ?
Can you try in english ?
I notified same issue on non-english language.

Spanish ... although, is not even translated
Thank you very much Santa.

I am too lazy, I mean busy, to beta-test, but the announcement was a good excuse to finally buy my second Prine, the revision with the readable keys.
Has a definition been released for a date format for the INPUT command?
No problem with German here.

also in English (I beg Santa to come a gift with Italian translation, who knows?).
Maybe the problem is with Spanish and French only, but it should be solved soon...
Hi,

When I press on CATALOG in the VC 12951, VC failed. I have to reboot.
This is awesome! Big Grin

I have to say that now, sometimes, I feel more comfy using my Prime now than my HP50 Tongue

I only wish that the geometry app allowed precise input in the Plot screen :/ to replace my geometry needs

Just ordered HP Prime. Smile It will come next week.
Is there anyway we can "sticky" or "pin" this thread so it appears on the top of thread list?

For better clarity it would be better if Tim's opening post was sticky and locked without any our responses. Every responses to Tim's thread could be in normal separate thread. This way it is on many other forums.
Thanks for incorporating missing Xcas cmds http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-8577.html

Even waiting for a pretty print cmd, or at least one command to convert a string to GraphicalObject (ICON),
similar to 0 ->GROB (hp48sx 1993)

[Image: prettyprint_hp48sx.png]

PHP Code:
«
'x^2=(2*x+3)' ->GROB PICT STO 0 FREEZE {#0h #0h} PVIEW 0 WAIT DROP
'-2*x-3+x^2=(2*x+3-2*x-3)' ->GROB PICT STO 0 FREEZE {#0h #0h} PVIEW

Hello

Which version of Mac OS is it compatible with? I have 10.7.5 and both KC and VC extracted from the DMG files crash.
I did not update the OS for a long time because I wanted to keep it as stable and reliable as it was the very first day I got it. One can read almost everything about updates on the internet and without anyone to help you it is difficult to make one's own opinion and decide whether it is a good thing or not to update, and up to which version, since some seem to be criticized and not stable.
Help much appreciated!
Sorry for kind of polluting this thread with this side topic.

Kind regards.

10.8 is the earliest supported version and is unfortunately required.

It went right to a return code of 1 at the end of the program. I replaced FREEZE by WAIT(0) and the program worked OK. I then replaced WAIT(0) by FREEZE and the program works as expected once more. None of this was necessary on the virtual calculator.

This seems strange. FREEZE not behaving nicely at the moment is a known issue, but I would not have expected a crash there. It feels like the compiled program from before might be bad in some way which I would not expect at all.

Very nice find! Looks like we missed checking the color change DURING a manipulation.

Hello,

I have uploaded new files to Eric at hpcalc.org for the firmware only (2017.11.08) that should be availiable shortly. Basically, the part of the build process that assembles the language files into a resource binary for the firmware on the calculator only decided to not include the full filename with extension. Thus, when looking for the file it couldn't find it and only fell back to english.

This should have been caught on our side but due to some other things happening we could not run the full language validation scripts on the hardware (only on the various simulators) and this was missed. Apologies!

No it has not. There are significant changes to INPUT planned but they did not make it in time for this release.

Do you happen to have AstroLab installed? (or Solar System View)

Those apps are doing something strange that is causing issues when you even attempt to load them through the app screen. The catalog touches each app as it looks for functions which is what is causing that problem.

Tim, I've Astrolab (without Solar System) installed and VC and HC doesn't crash at all, here; I'm using that program now.
Solar System, instead, could have an impact on the system, for now.
Marcel, the author is aware of the problem, and after the public release, will put a new version of Astrolab, hoping with strong corrections.

Salvo
Hi Tim,

I think you are right. I have uninstall astrolab and solar view and all
is ok now.
