I noticed that the emulator in the NumWorks's web site is now bigger and more readable. You can also directly type in, from your keyboard, the name of variables/matrices, commands and functions that are supported.
As for a more detailed manual, one is available online in French. When you select the one-page English manual, click on the language flag in the lower right corner of the web page. You see three flags--American, French, and European. Click on the French flag and you get a more detailed multi-web page manual. If you read French then these web pages will shed a bit more light on teh operations supported by the calculator.
Many thanks to Demosthenes for the tip on finding the online French manual.
Have fun!
