HI,

I have some 48gx and 48g+ that had the display "toasted" due the high temperatures here in my city in summer, so I'm thinking to take some cheap broken 48's to be donors for mines.

The question is, do the 49's have the display interchangeable with the 48's? If yes, it would be a great option due its black LCD.

Short answer: yes, they are.
Even cheaper donors: 39G and 40G.
