Excellent reading, by the way.

Just what the doctor ordered to accompany the soon-to-be-released DM42.

yeah, tempting proposal, but for now i will have to restrain myself to my HP-42S, as my Christmas gift was already set by my wife: a pajama to handle this winter. Smile
Does your 42 have the recessed display? I like it better than the flat display on the early Pioneers.

I believe this is the new bezel and it has the SN 3219S11400.

I believe you are referring to these two styles of bezels?

Yes.

Now the challenge - find a 22S with a recessed bezel like this one from the Museum's collection.

If you can find one anywhere Mark Hardman will mortgage his house for it.

You've been warned Bob.
Mark weeps insanely after realizing he will never own an example of this elusive HP22S variant. He takes his psych meds and drifts off to sleep in his new white room with the nice attendants.
The life of a calcaholic is not a pretty thing. I'm glad the 12-step program is working for you and I understand that thanks to RPN you saved two steps and got it down to ten.
