Thanks in advance for anyone that can help with this.
i somehow have aquired a very nasty corrupt file on my SD card, which i want to be rid of.
any action i take with it RCL, VIEW, PURGE, MOVE etc causes the calculator to "hang" for what seems an eternity, it does not respond to reset (ON C) i have to invoke the dreaded paperclip
which has cleared memory on many occasions.
Does anyone have a possible solution, to my troubles.

Try it on a PC. The FAT file system implementation in the 49g+/50g firmware is not very robust, it just handles the standard cases, but may easily "hick up" when encountering anything unexpected.

On a PC, also run a file system tool like CHKDSK/SCANDISK etc. in order to ensure the integrity of the file system.

Greetings,
