While watching some of the past HHC conference video made by Jake Schwartz (available here),
I found a very interesting promotional video, presented on the 2006 HHC, that HP made in 2005 about their origins.

I fullheartedly concur. And recommend an old pocket book called "The HP Way" - I found it in a bookstore over a decade ago, maybe there are some samples available still. Those were the days ...

You can get a copy at Abebooks. I just ordered a hardback copy for less than $3 and that included free shipping.

I can highly recommend them for out of print books.
