Full Version: Square Root Error in Home View

Hello,

When I use square root sign (√) on a complex number with both real and imaginary parts are negative, the answer in Home View is not correct. There is no problem in CAS View or using y^x (x=0.5) in Home View.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Thanks a lot.
Looks like an issue, but I think has been resolved already. I suspect the ios version would do this correctly.
Hi Tim,

Confirmed the problem is solved with new firmware on the calculator, but not on the emulator.

Cheer!
Hi!, Killersing9588:

In my HP PRIME calculator, the Virtual PC emulator, for Windows, with ultimate version (10077), Wolfram Alpha y MathLab, the results, are ... (see, attachment's).

Kind Regards.

Definitely not matching what I am seeing here (returning 2-3i in all ways). In your emulator menu "Help->About hp Prime" are you seeing the latest version? Might an old one being run?

There should be no possibility for difference between the calc and emu here.
Thank you all!

It was the old version that I could not upgraded on Windows 7 only.
