Hey Tim....it's been quite a while since the last firmware update even though lots of fixes and updates were in the pipeline. Is there a problem ?.

Over the years, HP has been remarkably consistent with the timing of their releases:

I will be on the lookout.

Everyone is anxious to see a new firmware... Surprise us please Smile
Tim is not answering !, he's been online though.....
He can't say dates because corporative bs
Correct - the official wording is "forward looking statements". Anything that has not happened can possibly change and hence those statements are completely disallowed. Thus even a super trivial bug to fix that only takes 30 seconds cannot be "fixed" but must be "put on the list for evaluation for inclusion in a possible future update should there be one".

Just how things are...
Tim, you never answer a question straight.

I believe statements like this have no place in this forum.
People from HP have been and are cooperative with this community, and are an integral part of it. Your statement sounds harsh against one person, while if you have a problem or complaint about firmware update delays, it should be directed to HP as a corporation, not the human being.
Please think before you put the name of a person in front of a sentence like that, it makes it too personal.

I am completely confused what you mean by this. I just explained why I did NOT answer the question. I can not do so without beginning a new job hunt.

I did not ever address the original question ("when is the next firmware update") and ignored it as if it did not exist because - for me (as an HP employee) - it doesn't.

I beg pardon, I did not adhere to official etiquette in relation to Tim.

This answer is simple and clear to me. Thank you.

Thanks Tim....I've also worked for a very large corporation that purchased a lot of expensive HP equipment and was always impressed by the quality (inside and out) & the reliability. Yes the customer 'non-focused' corporate bs infected my company too.

Most of us here are well impressed with the help you have given us. The fact you are even present here is a blessing...May it never end.

You are very welcome. I always try to be clear, but I am sure that I do not always succeed. Especially if I am following my normal instinct to try and be sarcastic... that can fail miserably. :-|
Hello,

What is the forum equivalent of the 5th amendment?

"You have the right to remain silent and your silence can not be used against you"

Will be out when will be out, it's that simple :=)

I echo this statement. Tim, we appreciate you.

You must communicate that you intend to plead the 5th. Tim was completely silent... so, he wasn't doing it right ;-) ... although it's probably as HP requires it be done.

We don't want any of you looking for a new job. Things are good just the way they are.
