I don't know if this is the right place for this question or not, but at least it appears to be in the ballpark.

A couple of years ago I bought a copy of the HP12c emulator software sold by HP for use on a Win7 notebook I no longer own. I now want to install this emulator on my Win8 desktop. However, I am unable to activate the software.

When I enter my registration key, the emulator tries to connect to activate.hpcalculating.com but that domain does not appear in the Google DNS.

This is quite frustrating. Digital River still offers this software but I don't want to pay for another copy unnecessarily.

Can anyone tell me how to get this software registered?

Any help that anyone can give is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.
That should not still be availiable for sale on digital river per my knowledge. Could you please send me a message with where you are seeing it (so we can try to get it removed), and your email address and I will put you in contact with someone who can get you up and running again.

Thanks!

If desried, email directly by putting myname at hp.com. Else use the forum software.
Tim,
Here's the link to the DR offering:

I'm having exactly the same problem! But the activation site http://activate.hpcalculating.com/ is also dead.

Id love to get my 12c emulator running again on Win 8.1.

The current versions of all HP emulators don't need any registration/activation (or entering a serial number) anymore.
And all these (latest) emulators are still available for download from the following site (an official french HP distributor):
http://www.calculatrices-hp.com/index.ph...emulateurs

Only the HP-10BII+ is missing, but this one can be downloaded from EduCalc:

(Download from Cached Archive)

And the HP-39gII emulator from this french site is not the latest one (a newer one is available from the original HP FTP-server.

Franz - Thank you for this link. I had not seen the HP-17BII+ emulator before now, a machine I like and use daily. I can now use it virtually in other places as well. Appreciated!

Its my guess that the French website had an unusually large spike in traffic yesterday... Wink
I saw the HP 50G Virtual Calculator here!!!
I am playing with HP Prime but the HP 50G is very famous in Brazilian universities...
The 50G emulator works very well in Windows 8.1!!!
Thanks for link!!!
