Today I received another dead Woodstock, opend it up and was surprised:

Looks like a Spice power supply to me?!?
At first I thought it is a later version, but my 1979 29c looks like all the other Woodstocks, and this is a 1977 25.
Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Harald

Keyboard layout is different ass well:

Sorry, I just noticed the pictures are HUGE. I uploaded them from my mobile and didn't notice at the time...

Here is another one showing corrosion from a leaking battery in the LED-display. Just thought it might be interesting for those who don't have a microscope.

thank-you for sharing , I love macros...but I prefer to have a not corroded display than a microscope Smile

Which kind of microscope you have, may you post a picture?
thank-you again Harald

Hi Aurelio,

it is this microscope:
https://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/MjYwODcyOT...P_M07.html
An amazing device; but it's "nicht mehr lieferbar" (no longer available).

Yes, I thought the same when I read that. It's a nice piece of kit for 1600x1200 pictures at 200 magnification Here are some excerpts from my thoughts and my good lady wife:

<BrickViking> Darn, another piece of equipment I'll never be able to buy.
<Zoombuggy> Thank goodness, you've got too much other cr8p around here now...

Let me correct that:
<BrickViking> Darn, another piece of equipment I'll have to pay slightly more than I expected for.
<Zoombuggy> Damn, even more useless crap lying arround here now....

And this is why:

Ugh. That's worse, not better. At least the previous microscope took 1600x1200 pictures, this model only does 1280x960. Incidentally, I managed to get the website to display itself in English! Sweet! I even found THIS link:
http://www.reichelt.de/Endoscopes-Micros...OUPID=5942

Now that's what I call decent. I still can't buy it though.

Where did you find the 1280x960? As far as I can tell this one is identical and also does 1600x1200.

For me, the website turns up these details on that product:

Quote:This microscope is a fully functional magnification tool. Easy to use through USB connection to computer.

• 6 white LEDs for lighting (adjustable)
• 2 megapixel sensor
• Resolution 1280 x 960
• For high resolution images
• Videos (AVI) at 30 fps

Includes software and a removable, multi-adjustable stand.

The microscope does not require Stromvesorgung own (presumably powersupply), but is powered through a USB port.

Strange, in German it is 1600x1200. I think we have lost a lot of pixels in translation Smile

I've been told many times that things in German are much more clear, but I had no idea it was this significant....
It might be a genuine translation error, but it is also possible that the English text wasn't updated with the German text - over the years these cheap USB microscopes were available in many different configurations including different resolutions.

Greetings,

Matthias

Or the English page shows imperial pixels instead of SI pixels. Smile
I've got that exact model! We use it for studying pond water, dead bugs, etc. with the kids. It is a lot of fun for them and also Dad.
