I just now read up on this project. It would be great if HP could spend a tiny sliver of their budget on sponsoring and assisting this project to where one day they could announce a software upgrade available for their 50G making it 100-400 times faster, and source-code compatable. Then they could release new models as a 51G with just a name plate and a documentation/packaging change.
