Im having serius problems with my Hp prime. And I really dont know what to do.
5 months ago I bought a Hp prime.
And half a month ago I upgraded to the latest firmware, everything normally!!!
But two days ago I was doing some sums and my calculator is turned off!
I tried turning it on and never more I could do it!

I tried:
On+ Symb -> Does not work
Apps +On +Esc -> Does not work
Symb +behind reset -> Does not work
F+C+O+On -> Does not work
charge the battery overnight -> Does not work

Is there anything I can do? please HELP ME!

Sometimes the calculator shows me a white window and then turns off again.
I'm in Bolivia and I have no way to access the technical support!
Would be very grateful if somebody can help me.
Have you tried a pin hole reset?
thnaks for your answer.
yes! i tried.
pin hole reset, pin hole reset + on, remove the battery.
Have you tried powering the Prime from a USB cable? Have you tried using the Connectivity Kit to see if it can connect to the Prime? You could also try removing the battery; checking its voltage level; and shorting the terminals on the calculator for a few minutes.
Thanks again!
I tried powering connecting the USB, but without success.
With ConKit is not recognized. I have removed the battery and tested if it has voltage and the battery voltaje level is ok.
what do you mean with " shorting the terminals on the calculator"
connecting the positive and negative pin from the calculator?
Yes. Or you could leave it overnight with the battery removed.
I tried what you told me yesterday, but does not work... Sad
Have you tried contacting the seller?
yes...
He is a reseller and told me that he dont know about the functions of the calculator! He said the prime was working when I buy it and that he has no idea what happen now.

Well, you could work with him to figure out where to send the calculator in case it stops working. Did it not come with an invoice?
I hope this information may be of use in resolving your problem:

Contact:

calcsupport.emea@hp.com

If your device is subject to warranty policy, email them and they should be able to help.

If I were you, I would replace the battery with a new one from a Samsung mobile phone that you can find in any shop.

Get the new battery, install it, put the calculator to charge.
If you are not sure if your charger is in good shape, connect the calculator to a computer using the USB cable for at least 16 hours.
Marcio:

He just told me that there are no product warranty!
Or he is not well informed about this.

DrD:

thank you for the info!
I've emailed them, I hope they can give me a solution.

jebem :

Oh my! Well, it's kinda of your fault too because you bought a product without any warranty. There is a good chance HP tech support won't be able to fix the problem without knowing any purchase details such as invoice number etc. I am no expert in this area but I guess that at this point all they can do for you is give instructions on how to troubleshoot the machine yourself.

You could also call the nearest HP tech support in your country and ask if they can fix it. Changes are that, if they can, they will charge you.
I have a receipt which I think is also valid for the warranty?... I am trying to contact them by email.
I hope they can give me a solution.

I think calling would be easier and faster! Keep us posted!
Hello,

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues... Let us try to get you out of your troubles...

1: you said that the screen is working (white, luminescent), so this means that the power is ok and that some part of the system is OK also...
2: What caused the "break"/"Stop working"? did you do something to it (knowing how it append can highly help in fixing it)...
3: have you tried going into the boot loader?
Press and HOLD the symb key, then press on the reset button at the back. it should reboot, and show the HP logo with a "HP Prime recovery mode" message on top.
If you can get there, then you are 'saved'. Start the con kit, tell it to check for updates, connect the calculator to the PC using USB and it should ask you if you want to 'update', say yes and your calculator should be back to normal.

Cyrille
thank you for your answer Cyrille,

but I have tried what you said, with no success!
If you read my old posts, I have tried everything! but something happens and I can not turn on anymore my calc.
I was just doing some basic operations! i suddenly it turned off!...
