If you were stranded on a deserted island and you could only have one of the three which would you choose & why:
1) An HP41CX with Edu-Calc Port Extender, all the accessories, and unlimited batteries;
2) An HP71B with all the accessories and unlimited batteries;
3) Jennifer Love Hewitt with a TI-58C.
#3 w/o the TI.

I guess you omitted the fourth choice, a WP 34S, as the voting would then have been too skewed.

John, did anyone ever tell you that you have a cruel streak.
I will sort a program on my 42S, to get an answer / choice for me, I have to work on an input value for the latter
It may take a while :-)
More importantly how did I manage to get stranded?
#3 and bet JLH that can't skip the TI on the water like a stone.
Difficult choice...
Does the TI has unlimited battery life too ?
:-) :-)
I've already got a TI-58C, so I'm like halfway there already.
I have a 41cx and a 71B (actually two 71's) with a load of accessories, and I use the 41 every day but seldom the 71. If I could only keep one, it would be the 41. Actually I've had a 58c also but no use for it today. As for Jennifer Love Hewitt, I have no knowledge or interest in who she even is.

You have no interest exactly because you have no knowledge...

Ok, I just looked her up. I'll take the 41.

Yeah, unlimited battery life outweighs a C-cup any day. If she's not available that is.
Would #3 make the island half as deserted or twice as populated?

The optimist sees the glass as half full.
The pessimist sees the glass as half empty.
The engineer sees a glass twice the size it needs to be.
So it depends on your point of reference.

THIS engineer sees a glass with a reserve capacity of 100%. Handy for storing when the price of the contents is low and selling when the price is high.

Supposedly one is on a deserted island. I must have missed a metaphor somewhere.
Point of Clarification:
Although she went to Stanford, Jennifer is NOT related to the Hewlett family. Coincidentally, their last names are similar.
I picked her for the deserted island question as she is the #1 undisputed hottest female in Hollywood. It did not occur to me that her last name sounded a bit like "Hewlett."
