After some browsing and search on Forum was not able to find
any post on similar problem.

Printing from HP49G with TTL RS232 interface, no IR (Red Eye)
to HP82240B IR (Red Eye) thermal printer.

Any lead to ready solution (arduino or similar)?

Background my small flock of HP calc. HW consist of:
HP48SX
HP48G
HP50G
and now HP49G
That 49 with nice price of 30 euro, supposed to be the LCD donor to above 48SX
which is working fine but you know the old blue/green screen issue Wink
The 49 arrived in nice, near mint condition, all good except one minor mark on
the screen lens, visible under angle. The keyboard is not so poor to be unusable,
just different. The "Tetris" like game is running faster than on 50G
(must be because of ARM => Saturn emulation).
Conclusion it is keeper Smile
Poor 48SX must wait for another black screen "makeup" Tongue
Seems I am in chat with myself Tongue

Here useful arduino solution for ref.

For the Hp 49G, you might also want to have a look at compact solutions like the one you find on
https://www.hpcalc.org/hp49/docs/misc/: "Infrared Adapter 1.2".
