I see where you can purchase new battery contacts either fully or just the flex PCB. I recently used a trimmed piece of 3M adhesive-backed, copper tape. Works perfectly. It seems like once the corrosion gets under the plastic coating on the flex PCB it keeps going. I trimmed the tape, folded it over the battery contact and up over the zebra-style contact stopping half way across. This way the contacts on the main PCB will will bridge from the battery to the main board and back to the expansion slots if the adhesive isn't as conductive as you would expect. It makes more sense when you look at the contact area.

Jerry
