Connect the actual calculator to your PC, and run the emulator. On the emulator, select Calculator > Connect To > HP Prime. Finally start the connectivity kit to receive a "This application has crashed" error.
The order matters. Open the conn. kit first, and then run the emulator and connect it (the emu) to the hardware and no crashing happens.
