Shift then Minus key "-" brings you to the Base number mode. I cannot enter F in the Hexadecimal part there, pressing X^y which is the "F" key, returns 1 in the 16 mode in there. Should that be?
I don't know if this can help you...

Thanks, that helps me to see how I can enter an F, by having the number prepared before I entered Base screen.

Every other number/letter can be entered live in Base screen, apart from F though, seems odd.

Strange, I tested it on my Prime G2 and I have no issue entering F.
With which Prime version are you experienced this issue?
Do you have any user assignment active for the x^y key ?

I have a user assignment for the x^y key! I had forgotten about this one. Thanks.
Interestingly the key assignment was set to output a string that involved the number 1, after I changed it to F instead of 1, it output F. It seems that if the string output contains a viable number/letter (in this case 1 to F, for HEX) then it will insert it in the field of the Base number entry window.
