In this video we try to find a way to repair a hybrid module in a TRS-80 PC-2 (Sharp PC-1500) I damaged a few weeks ago. A hybrid module is a sort of ‘macro component’, a small PCB with a few parts and pins encapsulated in epoxy. We’ll find a hardware store chemical to remove the encapsulation, fix the module and then re-encapsulate it in epoxy again. Almost like new.

Since making this video I have learned of 'fumed silica powder' which is a thickening agent added to epoxy to prevent the dripping/sagging problem I was having. This may be the last part of the puzzle to reproducing a factory looking encapsulation of a hybrid circuit.
