Hello All:
Did HP ever produce a HP-41 (Option 001) CX Model. I currently have (2) HP-41 (Option 001) models (C and CV) in my collection, the C model is a Fullnut and the CV is a Halfnut. Just wondering is anyone has ever had or seen a CX model.
regards,
Chris Parman
Yes (and get your wallet ready) there is one for sale on eBay right now:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/115579024328
While is is possible to fake such a part, by swapping case and electronics, labels, etc. it seems this one is genuine. I don't know if any (or all) blanknuts actually included one originally, but note this one includes a normal 41C/CV (as the border is silver) unattached face-plate with the various key labels.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, Sylvain has 2-3 of them, so yes, rest assured they do exist.

I have these Option 001 models → 41C-FN-BN / 41CV-FN-BN / 41CV-HN-BN / 41CX-HN-BN → (FN:Full Nut, HN:Half Nut, TK:Tall Keys, BN:Blank Nut)

Holy smokes! I didn't realize there was a type of 41 model you had only one of...
More seriously, do you (or anyone else) know if BN machines originally came with the standard face-plate as seen in the eBay listing? I know they did include the rear label which the owner could optionally apply, but don't know if a front (standard 41 layout) label was also included. Although one can't see the back, the label in that listing looks new/unused (as opposed to one someone removed).
I have a couple of these, with peel-and-stick backing, which I've had since the 80's, probably picked-up at a PPC meeting or HHC conference. Maybe these were originally included with BN machines, maybe they were for service replacement? I don't recall when/how/where I got them, but I never owned a BN back in the day, so I'm curious.

My answer was not on quantity but on which model/type the BN was available on, btw I never saw these: 41C-FN-TK-BN / 41C-HN-BN / 41CX-FN-BN.
I saw several listings on eBay advertising 41CX-FN-BN but after verification with the sellers there were all 41CV-FN-BN.

Not to my knowledge.
If I remember correctly, blanknut packages had the following:
- special box with no marking on it (thick box version HERE)
- HP-41C/CV/CX blanknut version
- installed, top black sticker with appropriate color (silver or gold)
- not installed, rear label
- not installed, front label
- USER/PRGM detachable plastic cap (do not remember if it was installed or not at factory)
- manuals (I think so, but I am not sure anymore)
- standard accessories (I think so, but I am not sure anymore)
Actually a nice machine
Already sold
shorter the life of this auction than a Ephemeroptera !!

Not a coincidence I think... and the seller didn't even send me a bonus for sending him buyers...
