Another example - from a brochure for the SR-50A and SR-51A for hyperbolic functions is shown in the two images below.

It's strange looking back 20+ years ago and seeing the checklist things that many of us coveted without realising it was simply a discriminating factor to between models to allow a spread of price points. No one I knew ever needed high speed dubbing.

The hyperbolic buttons often took up a whole first class button on the front of Casio calculators.

I've never needed it in a pocket calculator, but I do like asinh as a nice logarithmic transform that works with negative numbers.
