I'm not sure how it works, but the end result is an alternate way to access the forum via apps. It makes the forums easier on smaller screens and on touch-enabled devices. I'm pretty sure there's more to it.

I like it. Omnimaga uses it since last year or so and it's much easier to browse any forum from that plugin. It's not free but it's worth it, especially for people with older phones. Plus with it you can access many other forums you might like by searching.

I second this. Tapatalk is the best way to read and reply to forums using smartphones, best user experience. It's almost a de facto standard.
