Full Version: TI-Galaxy 67 User Manual

I have taken my copy of my TI-Galaxy 67 User Manual and scanned (Epson 4490), OCR and linked the TOC to the text (PDF-XChange Editor Plus).

I had read somewhere on this site that using a black page, behind the page being scanned, reduces bleed-through of the reverse page, when the paper used for the manual was low quality. This has produced a higher quality pdf than the copy I had found elsewhere on the internet.

I have attached a copy of each for comparison.

The enhanced scan copy (TI-Galaxy 67 1992.pdf) is of a much higher quality and is more readable than the original.

Overall a very neat TI model. I will have to look at the manual for more detailsSmile

Thank you, it is really rare in this quality.
BTW: Same for TI-66 in printable quality? On Datamath only a pixelized version available. I can remove the watermark but the OCR can't produce right quality.

Agreed. Pity they messed up external details, the grey surface around the display is extremely prone to scratches and the gummy keys tend to collect dust who knows where from. They should have stayed with the TI-65's external design...
Thanks for the effort. Making my journey into using this calculator from the past a lot easier.
Given how the TI-Galaxy 67 operates on complex numbers (in (real, imaginary) style), longer variable names (up to 6), the presence of integer and fraction parts, and the presence of the recurrence sequence mode, I think the TI-Galaxy 67 is the precursor to the TI-85/TI-86 series.

On second thought, the operations available for complex numbers are limited and the lack of base conversions: except for longer variable names the TI-Galaxy 67 could be a TI-83/84 without the graphing mode.

Speaking of contrast: Anyone knows if it is possible to adjust the display contrast in the Galaxy 67? I could not find it in the manual. Thanks in advance!
