Full Version: Problem with tan derivative

Hi

I have noticed that when I am trying to find first derivative of tan(x) (CAS mode), the result is tan(x)^2+1 instead of 1/cos(x)^2 or sec(x)^2.

Do you have any idea why HP prime is giving such result?
Because it is expressed with the same tan function.
Run trigcos if you want it in terms of cos.
