Full Version: Easy snap Woodstock rebuilt battery packs

Got the hint from the Panamatik website (Spice battery connector with spring). The current AA batteries being longer than the 1970s NiCads, Panamatik suggests to use 4/5 length AA for SPICE batteries to avoid stressing and breaking the casing.

The idea can be applied to Woodstock battery packs. See picture. I added a 3D printed spacer (black, on the right) and used 4/5 length AA NiMH batteries to make rebuilt Woodstock battery packs. They work like a charm: easy to snap in without using much force, good contact, easy to remove.

Great that you could replace some 19th century chemistry by more modern one 8-)
Also Cadmium is not very environment friendly.
