Well that explains it somewhat, it's not even being marketed as a full hp, it's only .86hp.

Still, even that seems somewhat exaggerated, feels more like half an hp or less...
My favorite part is the magnifier - when you roll your mouse over the picture of the Prime, it doesn't magnify; it shrinks the image. Their attention to detail is spot on. It really instills confidence in the direction they are going with the products HP entrusted them with.

I feel strangely confident that the new caretakers of the HP calculator line will take much better care of them than HP has been doing.
It feels strangely abandoned to me. I visited the site lately and observed the following:

- the calculator part of the site is hard to find, it's not available from the main page (which starts with links to what seem to be other companies? I haven't followed lately)
- this part of the site is strangely structured
- the few available calculators are badly documented; when I tried to get information on the Prime, I got documents on shredders
- the advertised prices are not correct (40 $ for the 300s+?)
- pages are a mix of languages
- support forums only have one post (I can't even find it anymore)

The current state of the HP Prime seems to be: no more updates, it has bugs and crashes every now and then.

I don't know what they are planning but I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a shutdown of that business.

And the linked manual is for neither the pictured item nor the item described by the text.
