At least in the HP 48 Series, the order is dependent on the Library number. Maybe Filer48 allows more sorgt criteria for the library view.

On HP 49G: in Filer, "S" key sorts for size.

It looks to me like the order on the HP 48, both in what's displayed by |-> LIBRARY and <-| PORTS portno are based on chronological order, just like global variables. On the 50g they do appear in lib# order in the LIB menu but in the port menu they appear in chronological order.
But there doesn't appear to be a way to sort them on either device.
The 50g filer does allow you to sort in the filer, but when you exit nothing has changed.

You wish to change the physical location of libraries in a port?
What for?
There is a library, # 1622 Port Manager, that gives more insight to ports &, with some fiddling, can be used to reorder a port.

Thanks. I wanted to know if it's possible without adding programs, like you can do
for variables.
Code:
VARS SORT ORDER
