This happens only on my real HP Prime G2. Upgrading to the latest hardware didn't help. The calculator is brand new, although I have installed some programs and apps.
This problem is not present on the simulator, the symbol "..." is shown correctly.
Is it some sort of symbolic font problem?
I cannot help you with that problem, I don't have it, neither on the pc-emulator, nor on my phone,or my HW2-Prime.
This seems to be a problem of settings.
What bothers me more is the fact that the phone and the HW2 provide the same solution which is different from the emulators (it correctly displays the ...), these are not the solutions your picture gives.
HW2: [-1.927... 0 7.6286E-3]
Emu: [−0.991307204277,−0.850784841819,0,0.150462101267,0.583133806685]
Arno
I think the rectangle symbol indicates that there are too many solutions to show...if the line in question is highlighted, a choice to “show” appears where other solutions can be seen.

You're right. But it is supposed to be "..." instead. Here's how it looks on the emulator:

I wonder if it might be trying to show "..." as an ellipsis symbol rather than as 3 dots or periods.?
It‘s in CAS Mode and the x is used as capital letter.
Maybe this could be the problem with the different solutions?
On my Prime with the newest firmware I get the same values as the Emu from Arno.

My Win10 emulator displays "..." for numbers between the first ten and last ten digits of a numerator and denominator. If I bring the result back to x register and hit show, the entire length of the numerator and denominator can be scrolled across the screen.

Interestingly, my G2 and iOS emulator use the little box instead of the "..."
Three different implementations, three different results.
1. Real HP Prime G2:

3. Latest version of HP Prime Lite app for iOS:

It not only differs in what symbol is used as an abbreviation sign, but also which value is displayed first.
CAS settings are the same in all 3 cases.
