Is it possible to backup original firmware to enable returning to original calculator after flashing it to hp34s?
Thanks.
No, it is not as simple as reading the firmware since that is not possible.

That's the bad news. The good news is that if you can somehow find the original HP 30b ROM code then you can flash the WP 34s's firmware and replace it with that, reverting the calculator to an HP 30b.

Finding that firmware may be challenging. Unless I am mistaken it is not considered public domain.

In the past (2012) , I obtained a copy of the 30b original firmware from Gene Wright. He was/is? the "official HP contact person" for this afaik. you could try sending him a pm via this forum.
Here's the 30b firmware.

Thanks! I understand that there were some bugs on 30b, is there a place with a list of them? Has this firmware any corrections?
