I ran across this HP-01 case on TAS today, which has a couple of holes drilled through the lower section of the bezel. The seller speculated that it was perhaps some type of test jig. He also had a similar one in gold listed.

Anyone familiar with this?

not always the case, but when I see "strange" or rare HP items being sold from Corvallis, I add a little bit of probability to authenticity.
