Hi all,

By popular demand I have completed the design of a stand for the HP-75 with integrated PIL-Box area. Here are some photos:

The stand is ambidextrous so the USB and power cables can be routed out of either end depending on your requirements.

Before I go printing a bunch of these, I would like to gauge your interest. This is a difficult and time consuming print so the price will be a bit higher than my 71B Stand. Probably about $50 USD.

Please let me know if you are interested by replying to this thread.

Also, I am trying to figure out the best alternative to eBay so I don't violate the rules here. eBay makes things very convenient for me to take care of shipping especially for international orders. Any thoughts on this would be welcome as well.

Thanks
-Dan

Hello Dan,

I would buy these stands in Faux Granite colored PLA Plastic:
  • 2 x HP-75 with space for PIL-Box
  • 1 x HP-71 with space for PIL-Box
  • 2 x HP-71
  • 1 x HP-41 → bought on eBay, Nov 15, thank you for making it!
Sylvain

Edit: bought dates
I already picked up your 41 and 71 stands and would buy one of these as well.
Thanks for listening Dan. Since Sylvain requested Faux Granite, I'll do the same:
  • 2 x HP-75 with space for PIL-Box - Medusa Stone
  • 1 x HP-71 without space for PIL-Box - Granite
  • 2 x HP-41 - Jet Blue

Feel free to send a PayPal invoice to my email address. It will save you eBay fees. Let me know if this works for you and I'll PM you with my details.

Looks like I'll need another PIL-Box. ;-)

Thank you!

ETA: HP-41 stands and color specifications
Here are color samples that I have in stock along with an HP-71 for comparison:

Fighter Jet Blue and Medusa Stone:

Linen and Dark Green:

Granite and Sandstone:

The Jet Blue would be perfect for a DM42 and DM41X. If only the front lip could be a little lower. Regardless, I'm going to add two 41 stands to my request. I've update my original post with colors and quantities.

Thanks!
Hi all,
Thanks for the overwhelming response!

I do not have any of these printed in advance as I do when listing them on eBay.
Also, I have to go out of town until Friday for my Day Job. So I won't be able to begin production until Saturday. Please have patience with me. I will get them done as soon as i can.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Mark - Please post a photo of the Jet Blue stands when you get them, I'm interested to see how they look with DM devices in-place.

Yeah - a custom 3D printed stand for the 75C!!! Who ever would have thought??? Big Grin
Dan,

I received my 41 and 71 stands last week. Very nice!
I'm interested in a Dark Green 75 stand.

I still have my adjustable stand for my HP-41CV from the 1980's. I have looked for high quality stands through the years and could only find the flimsy plastic ones. I can now place my HPs in stands they deserve!

Thanks
-Dave-
There are some Sandstone 71B Stands up on the unmentionable auction site.

I am waiting on delivery of more granite filament. Stay tuned...
I recently received one of tw's new 75C stands and am happy to recommend them. Here are the comments I sent him after using mine for 2 days:

Yeah, the new stand is perfect, meets every expectation and then some!

-machine sits tight, no moving around
-PIL-Box sits nice and tight in its bay (I use the right side) and power cable routes through perfectly.
-angle for viewing screen is ideal
-I can easily pick up and move the whole setup with one hand
-2 extra roms in a small ziplock fits perfectly in the shelf
-the USB cable disconnects and I can fold it up and store it under the machine in the cavity

If you use your 75C or 75D, I'd say get one, you won't regret it.

Now this is something we can agree on, Bob.

I purchased two and they look wonderful. The stands sit at the perfect angle for typing and viewing.

Thank you for the wonderful stands, Dan!
I have more HP-75 Stands available on the Unmentionable Auction Site.
I also have several more in production.

There are also additional 41, Voyager, and 71 Stands listed.

Plus, I have a new stand for the HP-48 Series listed as well.

My account is "simpsonde". Just search for that if you are interested.
