I just fixed a nice looking HP-33E.
The display on the far right and the third digit from the right remain dark. The contacts to the motherboard are all ok (measured).

A call into space: Are spare parts or similar displays available?

I believe I have a dead 33E available, but I need to dig through several boxes to check; I will post the results of said spelunking excursion tomorrow; if I do have one, I am happy to send it (from NY) for the price of shipping.
