Anyone have one spare for a reasonable price?

I contacted the USA company Katie recommended.
They put me onto their Australian distributor who wanted $100 for a one gear (postage extra).
I had a friend make a 3D model which had too small teeth when printed.
I've also contacted the German folks who have something mostly compatible -- €75 postage for a really cheap part. In addition, DHL doesn't deliver to Australia due to the pandemic.

My only option left at this point is to try to sand cast one in aluminum and I don't know how it might turn out. I've never sand cast anything before.

So, does anyone have a spare gear they'd be willing to send to Oz?

Pauli
Hello Pauli.

When I repaired my HP-97 printer I bought some gears from the German model company. Those gears are correct except they need to be bored to fit the axis so I bought some spares just in case.

I have one spare I do not need (see pic below together with one I overbored). If that is what you need I can post it to you. It may take a few days to post it because we are still in lockdown here in Spain and I need to check when the post office is open. Also you will need to check the correct boring diameter.
Here from Germany they don't accept anything to Down under that contains anything else than documents
Reason lies in receiving country

This is weird, packages from other countries are still arriving here. Possibly some cross wires between the different postal services?

I've noticed some oddities over the years. Wooden items can't be sent from the UK to here, Royal Mail refuses them based on Australia rejecting such items. Yet, wooden items from everywhere else arrive okay.

Yes, this is the one. PM sent.

I had some made a while ago from a gear shop. 100% like original, except aluminum. I still have a few. If interested, I can ship anywhere!

Adam, thanks. Not having to drill is an improvement.
