Hi! somebody in my office showed me this little device and I just falled in love with its power. I think it might be interesting for people that like calculators here:
What it is?
It is a combination of 3 projects,
1) HackRF: from Great Scott Gadgets is a Software Defined Radio peripheral capable of transmission or reception of radio signals from 1 MHz to 6 GHz
2) Portapack: from ShareBrained is an add-on for the HackRF. It is the screen and buttons
3) Havoc: Is a fork of the original Portapack firmware, that enables a lot of extra functionality
What can you do?
A lot! Since it is a half duplex SDR, you can receive and transmit in a lot of frequencies.
-Eavesdrop remote screens https://www.rtl-sdr.com/tempestsdr-a-sdr...diated-rf/
-Clone radio signals, from RC toys, garage doors, etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV-45RmJcF4
-Send and receive voice
-Listen to radio
-Listen to your electricity meter/ car type presure, etc
-Tamper GPS positions
-Diagnose radio equipment
etc, etc, etc...
The green one in the image on top has my custom 3d printed case:

Additionally I also designed a cover for it trying to emulate the plastic covers in calculators, but at the end, just used magnets for it:

This is how the 1mhz-6ghz spectrum looks around my house, I am the vigilant guardian now of any unnusual new transmissions.
