That's only true if you never bring a USB thumb drive from another machine and plug it into it. If the other machine is infected, then yours will be, too. Also, if it's on a WiFi network that's connected to the internet then it can get infected even if it never connects to the internet itself.

I agree and keep two XP boxes running still here. One is an old Frankin-HP made up of 2 others someone was throwing out (tape still holds the front cover on nicely).
Some of my older guitar gear uses midi and XP has been the most compatible for the older stuff.
I have Free42 for the phone but never thought about the XP version (usually just grabbed a physical calc). The internet way back machine is a way to get the older version.

I found a copy using the Internet Way Back Machine. It archives web sites and I got a one that way by going back in time.
I really like Free42. Being a 15c/11c user for decades those new 42s are quite nice.
