Hi All,

Following last month’s historic cancellation of the HPCC London Meeting, the first time this has happened in 38 years, HPCC would like to invite fellow enthusiasts to a virtual get together this afternoon at 2PM BST.

To join the meeting, email or private message me, Mark Power, and I will send you an invitation.

No doubt there will be the usual HP (+Swissmicros + Numworks) calculator chat, Nigel will update us on his progress with 3d printing face masks and hopefully we’ll be joined by Ed, who has just become a member of HPCC.

It would be great to see our more remote calculator enthusiasts if the time works for you!

Any questions, please email me.

Regards,

Mark

HPCC #251
There are four or five of us in this virtual meeting that is going on right now (8am USA Central time).

Hello!

Gardening including finally making a solid foundation for my telescope mount using ground screws (never imagined it would be such hard work to "drill" them in - so far I have managed one and already need a change of clothes...).

We have the most brilliant spring weather here one can imagine and sorry - but no - not the right time to sit in front of a computer... just taking a little break before I start laboring on ground screw number two. But maybe tonight, if anyone is still there.

Regards
Max
I would have liked to participate (if possible) but it was too late when I learned about this meeting. Please let us know about future meetings, if such meetings are open to us. Thank you in advance, best regards!
We will do it again soon. We will try and give people a bit more notice next time.

The main problem to overcome is picking a technology that everyone can use. We have people who don’t want to use Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Zoom. What we used instead today seemed to work well, but being browser based, didn’t work for people wanting to join from iPads.

Hello friends,

what about jitsi.org as a conference platform?

Sincerely peacecalc

And what, if I may ask, did you use? So we can try it out for ourselves in the meantime. Maybe there is even a solution to make it work on an iPad.

Max
One of our HPCC members found the problem.

Hopefully a fix for iOS 13.4 will be on its way soon.
Sorry I missed it Sad
