hi, I do not find the programming to be able to calculate the derivative as that present on the hp 39gs calculator.
The derivative must appear in Y1 as in the attachment, would it be possible to obtain this program? Thanks so much.
It's not a program that you can download or type in - it's because the 39gii and 39gs are fundamentally different machines.
You can obtain a copy of the 39gii manual
here and there is a (very) brief description of the differential function on page 160. However, it should be enough to let you evaluate your example.

Apparently HP have removed the user guides from their sites.
Google search gave me a few more user guides for Spanish and this one here that looks like German:

If you install the 39gII Virtual Calculator located
here, you'll find in the
"\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP 39gII Virtual Calculator" directory the following manuals:

You can open the Users Guide directly from the 39gII Virtual Calculator in the Help menu. The one corresponding to the language selected for the Virtual Calculator (in the Calculator menu) will be opened.
