Chuck Peddle, designer of the 6502 microprocessor, died on December 15, 2019.

May he rest in peace. My second contact with a "real" computer was with a descendant of his design, the 6510 in the C64. It was an exciting age.
RIP Mr. Peddle.
The 6502 was the first uP I learned to program in assembly and also the first I used in hardware designs. I have very fond memories of those simpler times. Thank you Chuck.
R.I.P. Chuck Peddle. Long live the 6502! An era, when computers had real names (Aim 65, PET) and were not just commodities with numbers of cores and RAM.
