Hi, all...

I looked at the thread on 3D printing battery covers – no joy. Anyone have an .stl of a 65/67 battery cover? I got an HP67 at a good price because it doesn’t have a battery pack or cover. Battery pack's not a problem, but the cover...

Or does anyone have one that they can laser scan? I’d cover the cost, of course.
If you have a digital caliper (in mm) and send me all the photos of the dimesions, I can make the model for you.
Is this what you are looking for?

That is for the classics, but does not fit the 65/67.
Thanks, all... for some reason, I never get notifications of replies...

Thanks eried, but I don't actually have one to measure...

I have one and could do the measuring.

Great, post a couple of photos Smile top, side, bottom placing the caliper measuring some of the features of it.
I am working on a model now.
I will print this weekend to verify fit and then post the model on thingiverse.

First layer printing now...

First iteration complete.
Good fit. I just need to tweak the latch slots for proper fit...

The original HP Latches work just fine. There is someone on this forum who has made 3D Printed latches but I can't find it at the moment.

Do you mean the latches found on shapeways?

Never saw another option here in the forum.
So shall I still measure the lid? I guess that is not really necessary anymore.

Ok, next request: Who will make model for a spice case?

Great! Also with that texture in your printing bed, it looks very good
Now if I could only find filament that matches the color...
I have some that is pretty close but not quite the right color.

Wow! Thanks, everyone... I really don’t want to appear ignorant, but I NEVER get notifications of replies to threads that I start...

Looking forward to how this will develop.. picked up a 3D printer in the Black Friday sales...

I don't think this forum offers notifications, you just have to look for updates (which are highlighted).

Have fun with that 3D Printer!
Well, I ended up buying an original battery door cover, but after my little 'mishap' last night (see my post from this morning), I'll need to get one printed. However, looking a Twoweim's post on Thingiverse, I can't see any way to order it printed (last time, for the Woodstock battery holder, I'm sure I just clicked 'Order This Printed' and the piece turned up a few days later...)

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
