Hello,

In case you have any desire to test or play with the updated "official HP" apps for the 12C,12CP and 15C they are available - or will be shortly available - on both Android and iOS.

There is basically no change from before, but they have been rebuilt for newer OS versions and things like better haptic touch, sound, etc has been done. The underlying capability and form/function did not change in any way. (I hope!)

Android
Here is the Opt-in URL for the following apps:
12C: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hp.hp12c
12CP: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hp.hp12cpt
15C: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hp.hp15c15

iOS

12CP: https://testflight.apple.com/join/aYSwG4U2
15C: https://testflight.apple.com/join/WAi4IAu5
For some reason I can't download any of the three apps. It says "Your account isn't currently eligible for this app's testing program". Maybe it's because I'm in Spain?
Hi Tim,

Thanks, would love to try, but all links are telling me that my account is not eligible, anything I need to do ?

Best regards
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with which country you're in. I'm in the U.S. and all three links take me to this message:

Quote:App not available for this account

Your account isn't currently eligible for this app's testing program.

If you've been invited to become a tester, make sure you're signed in to the account that was invited to the testing program. If you've been invited to a Google Group or Google+ Community as part of the program, make sure you've joined the Group or Community.
All 3 of these apps were updated automatically on my Android phone yesterday, they just came along with other updates. But note that I HAD been on the earlier Beta test 'list' so they probably are still being treated as Beta, and limited to release only to those on the old list.

@Tim - any chance that once the Beta review has established the build process is OK, 2 old change requests could be integrated:

1. On the 12C and 12CP, on the Portrait mode layout, change the Square Root key to %, used FAR more frequently by Financial machine users.

2. 12CP emulator returns results inconsistent with hardware 12CP for some calculations. I can search and find the posts from 1-2 years ago if needed to find the specific cases found if needed.

Thanks
Thanks very much, Tim.

I had the 15C app already installed, and got the update. It wouldn't turn on — blank LCD — and eventually I had to reset it, losing my programs. Not a big deal.

Would you like this reporting via calcbeta, is that only for the Prime updates? Or is it just expected?

Seems OK after update; will test more.

Now to talk myself into buying one or both of the 12C apps; they're quite expensive! Smile

Here is the thread with several examples of the 12CP Android emulator providing different results from the genuine 12CP:

I think the links should be functional now.

No, there is not any additional changes past simple recompiling on newer versions of ios/android.
Added iOS links.

Seen, installed, run. Pretty cool, but the display is incorrect (same for 15C and 12CP, did not try 12C) -> am I the only one?

Out of curiosity, which way were you holding it when you started the app up? veritcal or horizontal?

Ah! The infamous, Apple "you're holding it wrong!" bug. Smile

Vertically.
I also tried starting it horizontally, but same behavior.
iPhone XR, iOS 13.1.3.

Nah, just last time I saw something like this it did have a different behavior on some phones/ios versions if the phone happened to be sideways. This one seems like only might be on the latest phones...
