The memory reported and claimed on SD memory cards etc is 1000 times 1000 for a Megabyte, not 1024 times 1024...What is the definition of a Megabyte of memory on the HP Prime?..is it 1,000 times 1,000 or is it 1,024 times 1,024???
Places where size is reported uses the correct 1024 and so on.

Main memory is usually measured in factors of 1024 (kibibytes) but disk drive space and other forms of external storage are measured in factors of 1000 (kilobytes)

sold/marketed in that way, but many of us measure disk storage in 2^10/1024; and we call them kilobytes

Popular usage is slowly changing to conform to the international standard (kibi vs. kilo) however. Since my country is still in the 19th century when it comes to measurements, I won't hold my breath waiting for it to convert to ANY new standard. I'll just start using the new standard personally!
