Objectif demain - is this an HP calculator ?
This was on the french TV in 1981...
What is the giant calculator at the begining? was this made by HP?
It seems to work exactly like a desktop calculator (run and program mode…) but in a mega size format ;D
Nice find ! This is likely a giant promotional HP-33S similar to the one pictured
here in Melbourne and also referenced in the middle of
this article.

Finally caught you.
33
E (or maybe C, but I doubt they made 2 of those)
I initially thought it was a 34C, but checking the KB layout confirmed not.
Leave alone the calculator, what about the Mondrian sweater?
At least there were
Tangerine Dream as the title soundtrack! :D
You guys are really demonstrating your age ... that sweater is a killer!
Nice finds ;-)
Just to add to the conversation, Jo Vandale from Belgium did a presentation on the "giant" HP33E (which he acquired and repaired) at the British HPCC group's 20th-anniversary conference in September of 2002. A picture of his unit is on the cover of the HPCC Datafile magazine Volume 21 Number 5 (Sept/Oct 2002) and there is brief mention of it within the issue as well.

I'd like to see the pocket it fits in!

There is not such pocket. The concept here is that it is _you_ who can fit in the calculator ...
I think I can make room for a giant HP 33C.

How philosophical!
It does fit in my wife's purse, though.
