It was a random found, I like to check the calculator speeds with a simple counter. I was outside the house and the speed seems a little faster. I have checked with a measurement - and yes, the fx-3650P is 41% faster under the sky (no direct sunlight):





Any similar experience?! Why the solar panel operation is faster? Or something other reason in the background?

My guess is the battery is getting weak, thus required the solar panel boost.

My first thought was that maybe it runs at a slower speed in order to save the battery. If you have solar, you might as well run at full power.

In addition to comparing outdoor light and indoor light, try no light at all by putting some electric tape over the solar panel. That way you know that you are running on battery rather than running on dim light.

Some solar calculators need very little light to run.
