Full Version: How to remove glue on Classics back labels?

Hello HP fans,

I removed this afternoon a Classic back label I would like to store as flat as possible (maybe under some weight for a while...). I suppose it would be better to eliminate any glue residues, and do the same on the back of the calculator.

Any advice about the best chemical product I should use? Thanks in advance.

PS: I read this (https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap...cgi?read=2) but this article didn't mention anything about that.
Something like Goo Gone will work.

But I replaced a label without removing the old adhesive. Instead I used a little alcohol to "reactivate" the old adhesive.

Great, your label seems to be perfect, Dave, congratulations!
What alcohol did you use to make the glue adhesive again? would some heat do the job?
Thanks again for your advice.

Just some IPA, 91% or 99%. Didn't try heat but give it a go.
I'll do. Thanks again.
