35 years ago, Isaac Asimov was asked by the Star to predict the world of 2019. Here is what he wrote

Blade Runner is set in 2019, but I don't think there are any replicants around here.

Anyway Asimov had quite some prediction capabilities .

Doesn't appear to be all that accurate, maybe 50/50. His predictions on education and the moon are wrong for example

This is common for people that saw the moon landing. I don't blame them, things were progressing quite quickly until people realised just how difficult, expensive and dangerous space travel/colonisation really is.
