1) assuming that I am in APPS - EQuation Library - equation x - SOLVER: how to "jump" one level higher, so out of solver menu into the menu with equation on the screen?

2) assuming that i am in "right shift - LIB" menu and then I press :0: where I have several menus, one of them is 96 MENU. I named it STATm. if i press STATm I get 6 options in a row at the bottom of the display.

My question is, how to get out of this situation one level higher, so into situation where I will again see STATm at the bottom of the display? Thanks.
I don't know any "up" method but you can jump to the previous menu via LS_L (press and hold left-shift, press "PREV"). LS L (left-shift without holding = PREV) is like NXT, just in the other direction.
you have pretty much answered my question, thanks. Holding left shift is a thing which works exactly like I wished in many cases.

Most probably that is what I wanted to know ... I need some time to see if I am happy now. Thanks again.
little request. Always specify the device you are using for later users that search for the same help. I presume you are talking about the hp 50g.
The HLP49 documentation app for the 50g has a section on these simultaneous key combinations, that aren't marked on the keyboard.

thanks, I will search it.

see A Few Basics - Basic Shortcut Keys, which itself then links to Shortcut Keys.

the author uses + and - to differentiate between simultaneous and sequential key presses respectively, e.g:

LS-Nxt means LS then Nxt, which gives Prev, as marked on the key

LS+Nxt means LS and Nxt, which moves up in the menu hierarchy

If you'd like a complete list of all HP 50g keyboard shortcuts, they can be found in Appendix G of the HP 50g Advanced User's Reference Manual.
cdmackay, joe, thanks for your hints.
